Static Checkweighers

Checkweighers are designed to add efficiency to manufacturing, sorting and food-processing applications. Product weight is checked to be within a preset range or target.

A Static checkweigher, also called a check scale or an over/under scale, is used to ensure that items being weighed are within a specific weight range. This type of scale requires an operator to place an item on the scale and if it is outside of the weight range it is taken out of the production line to be adjusted. Any scale can be used as a static checkweigher, but many manufacturers use bench scales specifically for checkweighing. These models may also have lights to visually indicate if the item is under, within or over acceptable weight limits.
